Whatever you need, it’s on craigslist
As soon as I decided to buy a couch, I got online and went to www.craigslist.org. It’s a no-brainer. Www.craigslist.org is an online service that works like the classifieds section of a newspaper.
The difference between www.craigslist.org and a classified section in a newspaper is that it’s free and it’s nationwide. The internet is popping up with new services and offerings every day, from instant payday loans to extremely specific dating web sites, but craigslist has been around for quite some time.
Great deals on www.craiglist.org
The web site www.craigslist.org has become the go-to source for buyers, sellers, givers and takers. Whatever you’re looking for, I challenge you to get on craigslist and NOT find it.
For instance, let’s get back to my couch. I have a specific color in mind, I want it to be very large, a certain style, in “like-new” condition, and I only want to spend $100. Impossible, right? Wrong. I found exactly what I was looking for in less than three minutes on www.craigslist.org.
Replacing other services
Of course, the downside of craigslist is that it has cut deeply into newspaper revenues as people have realized they don’t have to pay in order to be able to sell their stuff. Furthermore, junk hauling businesses that used to charge hundreds of dollars to haul your unwanted stuff away are no longer needed.
I have a friend who needed some extra money and decided to sell his tool chest. He had me post the ad for him, and I told him he was crazy to ask for the price he posted. He sold the thing, for his asking price, in less than two hours. If it’s that easy to find someone to pay top dollar for a used to tool chest, imagine how easy it is to find someone to come pick up something you just want to get rid of for free. ... click here to read the rest of the article titled "Www.craigslist.org a Great Source for Cheap and Free Stuff"
