When I was a kid, we used to play in what we would call the chocolate river. It was so muddy that it looked like chocolate. That is why we gave it the name we did. It was probably only a foot and a half deep in the area that we played in it. We would just sit down in it and play in the mud. It was actually really disgusting now that I think about it but I don't mind. I was a kid and I probably didn't care in the slightest. I am surprised that my parents let us play in it.
