My parents taught me a great deal of charity

I tend to define charity as pure love for all people. My parents would spend a lot of time working at the food bank and donating to the less fortunate. It wasn't always the easiest thing for us considering we were often times unable to feed ourselves, let alone others, but we made it a priority to love and care for others. It taught me to be grateful for what I have even though often times it didn't seem like much. I will never forget the faces of those who I've helped and learned to love.
