There are just a few weeks until Santa flies all over the world. In preparation, NORAD is gearing up the 2010 Santa Tracker. There’s plenty a lot more than basic radar tracking for the flight this year. Relationships with Google Maps and local school districts ensure the Santa Tracker stays up-to-date.
What the past is for the NORAD 2010 Santa Tracker
The 2010 Santa Tracker service is once again from the North American Aerospace Defense Command. Santa Claus flight was searched for in 1955 by North American Aerospace Defense Command. It all began when a Sears department store ad misprinted a phone number where kids could “talk to Santa” on Christmas Eve. The Continental Air Defense office was where the phone actually went to. The "current location" of Santa Claus was given to the children.
