UPS plane and truck delivery postponed over strange ink toner

U.S. and U.K. airports are put on high alert after a UPS plane was found to have a suspicious package. Officials in a few countries are delaying UPS shipments for inspection. The suspicious packages have been mostly “manipulated” printer toner cartridges.

Around the world UPS delays

This morning, high alert was what all U.S. airports were put on. Thursday evening a suspicious package was found within the a United Kingdom UPS plane which has led to this. Inspection had to occur in all cargo flights in Newark and Philadelphia along with a UPS truck in New York. Any packages and flights from Yemen specifically are being checked. This is the purpose of all of this. Checking out all of the suspicious shipments is the plan of the Transportation Security Administration and UPS officials who are working together.

UPS shipments checked out by bomb squad

Within the U.K., there was the first plane being delayed. A toner cartridge was within the plane. They’re still testing the toner cartridge although it had been negative for exploses. A bomb squad had been called in to examine a UPS truck within the New York area also. There is a pretty small risk coming with these packages.

Being very cautious

"Out of abundance of caution," All UPS trucks and planes are going to be searched. Shutting down airports isn't much of an option right now. That is because there isn't much of a risk. The only thing that might cause an impact would be the freight distribution. The impact won't be large at all. In other words, though you will find suspicious packages, the UPS cargo flights and UPS trucks postponed are far from a reason to be fearful of the holiday packages that might soon start arriving on your doorstep.
