Not a good Sesame Street episode with Katy Perry

”Sesame Street” is known for many of its guest appearances, including Katy Perry, that appear on the show, although the Katy Perry “Sesame Street” episode won’t be airing at any time soon. There is a portion where the performer and Elmo sing a duet together. Some parents were upset with the clothing choice that Perry wore in her duet singing “Hot and Cold” with Elmo. Mothers and fathers began to worry and write letters and emails after seeing the released video on YouTube which resulted in the sketch getting pulled.

Perry guest stars on ‘Sesame Street’

Jim Henson productions, including “Sesame Street,” are known for the celebrity appearances on the show. In the last year, Katy Perry has had hits get lots of radio and music video on Television airtime because she is so well-known at the moment. It makes perfect sense to get Katy Perry the gig. She should be on “Sesame Street.” The show shows her singing a duet with Elmo. “Hot and Cold” is the song they sing. The lyrics were altered so the song was totally kid friendly, however that was not what incensed moms and dads.

Parents decline to say ‘yes’ to the dress

YouTube got the clip of Perry singing with Elmo leaked out to it, as Elmo is a well-known character. Viewers thought the clip was inappropriate for kids and wrote e-mails and letters quickly. The content of the Katy Perry Elmo segment is totally innocuous, but Perry’s dress shows a bit too much cleavage for a kid’s show, according to MSNBC.

Stopping the segment from airing

Concerned parents showed outrage in their emails and letters. This led the producers to dropping the segment entirely. The clip is nevertheless available on YouTube, and neither Perry nor her comedian fiancé Russel Brand have had anything to say as yet.
