National Hug Day and Totally free Hugs Campaign make an ideal partnership

On a bad day, a hug can make it all better. National Hug Day, is a day to commemorate the kindness of those who fill that requirement. Though National Hug Day has been available since 1986, the legal system has gotten engaged more often than once. National Hug Day will not require any payday loans to participate in, just give someone a hug.

The way in which National Hug Day started

The northern United States started National Hug Day in order to commemorate hugs. This happened in 1986. The date of National Hug Day and the name “National Hug Day” was registered with the United States Trademark office. Rev. Kevin Zaborney registered National Hug Day, Jan. 21, and also registered Dec. 26 as National Whiner’s Day. You will find several nations currently honoring National Hug Day now. These include Poland, Germany, Australia, England, Canada and the United States.

National Hug day facts

In order to celebrate, National Hug Day, you just do, just like National Whipped Cream Day and International Beer Day. Each year, the National Hug Day group also names the “most huggable individuals.” For 2011, the group named the Chilean miners. Though not officially associated, National Hug Day is also an excellent day to look into the Totally free Hugs Strategy. In public places, if some stranger wants to hug you, don't worry. The Free Hugs Campaign is just trying to spread some kindness with the act of a hug.

National Hug Day legality

National Hug Day and the Free Hugs Campaign are, unfortunately, not without controversy. Juan Mann, a resident of Australia, started offering free hugs in June 2004. He became famous first for his Free Hugs Campaign, and then again when the city he was offering free hugs banned him for not carrying public liability insurance. There was a way to resolve that issue although the lesson to learn is that you cannot force a hug on everyone, just offer, on National Hug Day, Jan twenty one, when offering free hugs. Be sure to double-check any city regulations on what you are doing as well, to make sure that your celebration doesn’t run afoul of the law.
